Heaven

Heaven
Stars twinkling like lights in the far off sky
Pray heaven will fetch me when my time is nigh
Snow crunching underfoot on the carpeted land
Pray heaven keep me here and just hold my hand
Leaves changing to gold in the Autumn time
Pray heaven keep me here for this beauty is thine
Birds song on the air gives nature her tune
Pray heaven keep me here, don’t come for me soon
Sweet sound of a child just learning to talk; Pray heaven keep me here, on this earth I must walk
Sweet laughter of a child when a new task is done
Pray heaven keep me here for my Daughter and Son
Sweet beauty bursts forth from the flowers in Spring
Pray heaven keep me here for my heart wants to sing
Life’s cycle born again with the birds and the bees
Pray heaven keep me here, I beg on my knees
A soul passes on, a place in your house to seek
Pray heaven keep me here to be strong for the weak
A new soul arrives with its first earthly call
Pray heaven keep me here to be big for the small
Sweet geometry glides like the Swallow and Lark
Pray heaven keep me here to be the light in the dark
Your presence is caught through the eyes of the old
Pray heaven keep me here to be the warmth in the cold
Sweet heaven protect all mankind right from birth
Pray heaven replace all the sorrow with mirth
Sweet heaven give gladness to replace all the fear
Sweet heaven pray listen for my heaven is here
